Graduate form Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Chicago 2004.
I found myself, like so many young artists not having a steady source of income after art school. Having a true passion for the arts, I thought culinary school maybe another great way of sharing my artistic skills with the world. I enrolled in Le Cordon bleu Culinary School in Chicago within a year of art school graduation. As the curriculum quickly moved on, I was introduced into the world of Ice Sculpting. As it would seem, I was awestruck right away.
This is where the story takes a funny twist. It just so happened that on same exact day that I was carving ice in school, a man walked into my brother's office that was looking for a product that would stick to a display tray for a Ice Sculpture. As their conversation progressed, the man explained that he owned an Ice Sculpting company.
The next crazy twist to happen, was that my brother quickly came to find out that the customer's wife was my second grade teacher. Small world right? The customer didn't know me, or that my love of the arts was finding a new passion and direction in Ice Sculpting. My brother thought it would be wise to take his business card. Thus leading me on the path of Ice Sculpting.
